市川孝典は線香の淡い炎を使い仕立てるというスタイルで
「現代絵画を全く異なる方向に大きく旋回させた」と称され一躍注目を集めました。
自らの記憶を辿って紡ぎだされる作品群は触れただけでくずれてしまいそうな緊張感と大胆さで、
わたしたち見るものを唯一無二の体験へと誘います。
本展ではすべて新作の35点を発表いたします。

With the original style of using delicate incent stick flame, Ichikawa’s work was described
as “[Incent Sticks Painting], significantly redirecting the contemporary paintings into a
completely different direction” and attracted huge media attention.
His work, embodied by retracing his own memories, invites us into the one and only
experience, with its extremely fragile tension and audacity.
35 new works will be presented in this exhibition.
